When ‘The Godfather’ pulls you back in

A new edit of the final film in epic Godfather trilogy is set to be released very soon.

Honoring the 30th anniversary of ‘The Godfather: Part III’, a new edit of the final film in the epic Godfather trilogy is set to be released in no time.

The new cut, titled ‘The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone’, is said to be a potentially “good” version of ‘The Godfather: Part IIl’, compensating for some failures.

The latest version of the film “achieves director-screenwriter Coppola and screenwriter [Mario] Puzo’s original vision for the finale, which has been meticulously restored for the finest presentation of the Corleone saga’s last chapter,” picture company Paramount said in a September news release.

Francis Ford Coppola who has done editorial remixes of ‘Apocalypse Now’, most recently tweaked his not-so-popular second sequel ‘The Godfather’ with edits and a new title.

The rename is believed to be an attempt for removing the stigma of the 1990 threequel. The resulting project can be a more appropriate conclusion.

‘The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone' is set to open in select theaters in early December with physical and virtual releases on digital platforms and Blu-Ray scheduled for December 8.
